Rutgers University Model United Nations November 21 - 24, 2002 This is a conference held at Rutgers University, November 21 - 24, 2002. For East Brunswick, RUMUN is our introduction program and therefore will be reserved for mostly novices and those with some UN experience. Experienced delegates will serve in leadership roles to help the newer members through the process. The competition at Rutgers is not as intense as in some of the other conferences we attend. Expect a lot of newcomers, and interspersed with them a few seasoned and experienced delegates. It is also the smallest conference we attend, with an average attendance of approximately 800 students. The majority of committees at RUMUN are double delegations, although single positions can be found in the specialized committees.

Harvard Model United Nations December 12 - 15, 2002 Harvard Model UN (HMUN) will be open to our more experienced delegates. The conference limits the amount of delegates that a school make bring so that they can diversify the participants. There are a significant amount of foreign delegations that attend this conference, as well as schools from across the USA. The competition at Harvard is more challenging than that of RUMUN. Most of the committees at Harvard are single delegate committees with some exceptions including Disarmament, SOCHUM, and Security Council. There will also be two special simulations: Dayton Accords and the National Security Council, which have already been assigned.

Ivy League Model United Nations Conference (Penn) January 30 - February 2, 2003 For 2003, East Brunswick ModelUN will be returning to ILMUNC, our Penn conference, after a short hiatus. ILMUNC will be primarily be open to Juniors and Sophomores, and a few Seniors who are available the weekend of the conference. Thus, it will be a good opportunity for new delegates to gain competitive experience, and for Juniors to take a lead role for their fellow EB delegates. There will be 23 committees at ILMUNC, which will range in size from 12 nations to 189. Unique at ILMUNC is the wide array of Specialized and "Crisis" committees available, such as the International Court of Justice, the ad-hoc committee to the Secretary-General, and the joint Chinese and Indian cabinets. These four committees will be available by application only and have already been assigned.
